5 Unexpected Christian and Mainstream Collabs

Christian + Mainstream = ???
Some of the best creations come from the most unexpected combos. Like the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a childhood hero that has fed countless hungry kids and saved moms from full-blown panic attacks.
Some might say opposites attract, but I’d argue that differences create impact. In the same way, collaborations between Christian and mainstream artists have the potential to produce incredibly impactful music.
Lecrae & John Legend | “Drown”
Steven Malcolm & Snoop Dogg | “SUMMERTIME”
for KING + COUNTRY & Lee Brice | “Checking In”
Forrest Frank & Connor Price | “UP!”
Hulvey & Ciara - “Altar (Remix)”
Brandon Lake & Jelly Roll - “Hard Fought Hallelujah”

This list isn’t exhaustive—far from it—but it shows the possibilities for ministry through these kinds of collabs. If the goal is to share God’s love and lead hearts to Jesus, stepping outside the box—or even the boat—might be just what’s needed.
Sure, not every effort will be flawless, but my hope is that these initiatives will spark questions, inspire conversations, and ultimately build relationships. The mainstream is a wider net, and we’ve all seen what Jesus can do as a fisher of men.
